BABY ALLIE INSPIRES MUSICIANS, RACERS
First it was bowlers. Now musicians and Indy drivers, touched by the plight of Baby Allie, have signed on to help the cause of Spinal Muscular Atrophy research.
At Children's Hospital on Tuesday, Indy driver Greg Ray announced that a portion of the proceeds from Sunday's Radisson Indy 200 race at Pikes Peak Int'l Raceway, and from a Big Head Todd & The Monsters concert following the race, will benefit SMA research. Backers hope to raise $50,000 for the cause on Sunday. Allie was 11 months old when she died in April 1999 of SMA. For information or to make a contribution, visit www.fightsma.com.
